Longish Loading times at first, normal?

just wondering if a longish loading time for Firefox and Opera is normal for the first time they are started up? I don't mean long long but about 6/7 seconds compared to almost instant when i load one up thereafter.

Im wondering because this never used to happen but then started with FF, and now has finally Opera goes slow aswell.

Anyone?

mine also takes about 6/7 seconds to load the first time, I think it is quite normal

sounds about average, you can improve the startup speed if you clear out some histories like the downloads (ctrl J then hit "clean up") etc. At least I noticed a huge improvement because I had a MASSIVE list of downloaded files sitting in it
