Hi guys,
I fitted something called a 'Loobman' when I fit the new chain and sprockets, it's basically a cheap mans scottoiler. Does the exact same job though.
Here are some pics:
Full assembly shot
Oil container and primer
Contact head where oil is placed upon sprocket
As you can see, any oil can be used, I have opted for engine oil as rec'ed by a few mechanics. The installation was one of the fiddliest and difficult things I have ever done, a 1000 piece mechano set would have been a doddle compared.
The bottle/prime system was easy, the location of the delivery head was not by any stretch of imagination, you have to adjust the wire, get it in the perfect spot for it to even drip the oil properly.
But, after many hours of fiddling around over the week, I have it working![Big Grin :D :D](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/biggrin.gif)
I ran the bike on the paddock stand in second about 3k revs and primed the line 3 times, 2 lots hit the chain and as you can see the third is sat in the tube. The idea is to prime once every time you ride. I ride to work and back so that's once a day, which should do me fine.
I can say, the oil spreads perfectly and right into the chain links, it is SOOOO smooth and so easy to do once installed. I would recommend this to anyone, only if you have patience and attention to detail. Oh and a creative mind as the instructions aren't exactly step by step.
