I ordered a bridge table in April for my mum from a place called Coopers. http://www.coopersofstortford.co.uk/coopers-of-stortford-deluxe-bridge-table-prodst08750i/

It was out of stock and they said it would be a few weeks till they get more in. Seeing as how bridge tables are generally over £100
and the Coopers one is £59.99, we decided to buy one. It arrived on Wednesday, I took it round to my mum's today and we opened
the box. Shocking. Look at the loose baize, and the faded varnish on the side of the table. They must have been in a hurry to
finish this one. I'm going to demand a refund. They should get their courier to collect it at their expense shouldn't they?

Yikes!

Id definately be getting them to replace that at their expense.

Ok it was a cheap table, but still, thats taking the p...

They don't have to pay for the courier, I don't believe. Would definitely be sending it back though, very poor.

Ring them and ask to speak to the person who ultimately signed it off as complete and ready for sale.

ask him why it was sent in this condition.....get a proper answer, not a 'send it back for a refund' get out of jail free card

Well I shouldn't have to foot the bill to return a faulty product.

And yes, I'll be sending them the photos.

My horses stables are better than the finish on that bridge table. You filthy riff raff.

Coopers are an awful company. My gran used to buy things for me from mail order catalogues. It was always imported tat packaged as coopers.

That's truly shoddy workmanship. However, it look like they've been OcUK'd.

Poor show OP.

It's not fair to do this to a company before they've had a chance to respond/rectify the issue.

I'm sure it's not their policy to sent out faulty/broken items to customers.

Seeing what they do next shows how good/bad a company is.

Probably. But they had my money for over 5 weeks before I received this. The ETA was then delayed by another week, and they never responded to two emails I sent to them about when I was going to receive the table, saying they never got the emails. How they never got the emails is beyond me considering I sent to the correct enquiries address.

Where was the logic here? Still poor but not the biggest surprise in the world that the cheapest bridge table you could find was made cheaply :p

Even cheaply made, it's still not acceptable. You said it yourself. There's a difference between cheaply made and downright shoddy. Even for 60 quid plus £5 P&P, you'd expect it to look better than that, even with cheap quality materials.

Poo through their letterbox, that will teach 'em.

NM.Buy cheap pay twice as the saying goes.

eh? as long as he's being factual whats the issue... I'm sure he'll document their response too
