look what the cat dragged in

Both my cats wear collars, Neither of them liked them. In the beginning they skitzed out, Walked with wide strides sweeping at the collar as they walked(Looked hilarious) You just have to ignore them, Its not causing pain, Its not causing discomfort, It's just unusual and they dont like it. Ofcourse they have no choice in the matter, only you as the owner has a choice. Now my cats wear collars with flee killing properties, and they couldnt care less.

As for the cats being hung by their collars, thats a real shame. I've seen it happen too, It's caused by loose collars, The collars I buy are plastic with a slight elasticated part as to stop it choking the little guys. They're much less likely to be caught on trees\branches.

The slip off collars that were mentioned above, they dont always work if the cats weight is fully on the collar, such as would happen when falling from a high branch. They seem more for when a cat is caught lower down and able to go in reverse.

I love cats, they kill birds, Mice, Anything they can hunt, and I hate to see them do it. But domesticated or not, Birds kill worms, Cats kill birds, Dogs kill Cats. Cars kill the lot. It happens.

Some people with real hatred towards cats over their hunting habit, Get a life seriously.
