Evening all,

Think after my wedding in June to treating myself to a new system to replace my Q6600 system (originally a E6300 system so is old!).

Looking for a budget of around £1,500 I think, would like the following:

100% gaming machine
AMD System (I think?!)
Crossfire (unless recommended otherwise)
Include Operating System
Customer watercooling to include CPU & GFX
Case??

Would like a new monitor if that is available in budget (currently gaming at 1050)
Keyboard & Mouse would be nice to, however having to find another £100 another time wouldnt be an issue.

As I have probabaly had my system for around 6-7 years (well since day 1 from the E6300 release day) I would like to think the system could last similar.

So people what options do I have, open to suggestions.

I included the V12 kit which has a 360rad so is suitable for a crossfire/sli setup in the future. OP can upgrade his GPU to watercooling at a later time as well.

Completely forgot about the OS..

not going to get all of above on budget either, liquid cooled cpu and video in a good case with even a i5 costs too much with a o/s i tried to use the win 8 upgrade to save money etc and a monitor as well as other bits like kb/ mouse etc, drop the monitor and o/s and peripherals etc then yes it can be done.

1 x Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Edition - from XP SP3 / Vista / Windows 7 £44.99

would still need some parts to even get this up and running, dvdrw, some memory and setup for liquid video to connect to system etc, but the very basic is there, just to give you a idea tbh, not even added a monitor, going AMD doesn't even make it happen, as too many bits and budget too low for all of setup, so need to alter what you would like and then add some things later, alter to a cheaper case, smaller psu, smaller hdd and sdd, and a less powerful video card liquid still makes it over budget.

option 2

1 x Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - OEM £245.99
1 x Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with Crysis 3 & Bioshock PC Games £239.99

1 x XFX 850W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Silver' Power Supply £99.98
1 x Samsung Green (MV-3V4G3D/US) 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz 30nm Dual Channel Kit £49.99
1 x Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Edition - from XP SP3 / Vista / Windows 7 £44.99
1 x Asus 24x DVD±RW DRW-24B5ST SATA ReWriter - Black (OEM) £18.95
Total : £1,455.48 (includes shipping : £22.20).

none liquid cooled video, do it at a later date etc, as case to fit it all in when needed is bought now, a big enough psu that you can crossfire later when budget allows, a good sdd and big enough standard hdd for storage, a half decent big display to watch it all on, using a windows 8 upgrade disk to save you the pennies, a i7 not a i5 to give you a bit more power with not that more cost as you seem to keep your systems longer, you could go i5 now then upgrade later but some games will use the i7 now so i've stuck one in and have that liquid cooled so at a later date can over clock it, twin fan so will be quite and cool, picked the 7950 not 70 as it over clocks well so better value and can pick another one later as there also cheaper than the 70's.

enjoy what ever you go for

and congratulations for the up coming wedding :) (please remember a pc is for a few years but a wife can be forever hehehehehe)

Thanks very much guys, appreciate it.

So sadly AMD is way behind again?

Don't worry about CDrom drive as already have a BD Drive, with regards to the watercooling ideally I would like to have everything cooled without having to change/add things...what would the budget need to be? Even if it meant not having a display as I could keep with my 22" for time being.

Oh and zakblood...must remember about the wife bit, forgot they are not upgradable (or are they?!)

always, each year i look for a newer model, but tbh the costs are very high :)

and to get everything you may be looking at nearer £2k at max

you will still need a rad and stuff and if you want a full version of a o/s etc and maybe dual card to start off with?

and the AMD is an option, just for many the i5/i7 solution is better

there is always way better people than me to spec water cooled stuff, ive never done one myself so hopefully someone who has will come along and do a proper one for you, good luck :)
