On Tuesday, this one in particular:

http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/use...reading/601297307-12312.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_

I know theres some problems about deposits on the valves that affects the performance, but Im going to go drive it and see how it feels.

I paticularly liked the spec on it and its around my budget. Its has heated front & rear seats, sat nav, phone prep, bucket seats, fridge in the glovebox (:D) and a couple of other nice options.

Something else I considered was an article in EVO a few months ago about cars you can run for a year and possibly sell on for the same or similar money. This interested me as I always chop and change (dont know why, been happy with nearly all my cars but just get the itch to change).

What do you guys think at the price, good idea or bad idea?

Buy Housey on here's one, you know he hasnt scrimped a penny on it.

And there you are my man :)

It's not moved for 2 weeks and needs an MOT but I just taxed it and will get it MOT'd when I can drive. Got a 'special' hire car arriving Monday so I can get about which will epic, not sure if I will get the Kia or the Vauxhall :(

The corn beef tin or the big soup tin, hard choice, get it insured and borrow mine on Tuesday :)

Does it still have warranty? Im not a fan of the standard (ice?) silver. I have no doubt about it being a straight, well looked after car though :)

No offence Housey but didnt yours spend a lot of time in the garage?

Yes, but then mine is a high mileage car and was first into many of the problems most suffer from and was first to have many of the fixes done too. Emissions lights coming on more than brake lights, but again fixed under warranty. It pulls as strong today as it did when I bought it and the interior still looks fresh as does my seat relatively as I know how to get in and out of a bucket seat so don't have badly damaged side bolsters that I have seen on cars with 30K miles, mine has 96K and whilst the drivers seat is far from new looking it's not as bad as many I've seen and the rears have been sat on about 20 times in there life in my ownership (from 11K miles).

Needs new dampers, news a bonnet spray but its a standard never pranged car with original paint so has stone chips that come with 96K miles but it's been serviced by Audi since day one and twist my arm and could be had in the high teens...

What im saying is this, as long as the farts are kept to a minimum, and you aint a big lot the seats will be fine, now that is a fact!

They're a great car just please make sure you get one with a decent warranty. When my brother bought his as a "used approved" from Audi he managed to get a comprehensive 2 year warranty thrown in which proved to be quite handy seeing as it's had to have around £8,000 of work done to it in the last 12 months! The local dealership have been excellent though and everything has been replaced without fuss.

RS246.com is a great source of information.

Sprint blue is the best colour to get, it looks stunning. Here's a pic of my brothers taken last year in Switzerland.

High teens would make it quite a bargain, yeah its got high mileage but its had many bits replaced and afterall its a V8 and Audi so are generally built to last and yes it pulls like a train. :)

its all about the seats and farts, nothing worse than a well farted in seat, spoils the whole aroma of the car
