Essex, innit?
Off in a minute to look at some Mitsubishi L200's. Very exciting.

Might do a classic Norbert and impule buy one today :D

I do need to get my act together though as my current tax and MOT have run out :o (We're going in the missus car so don't flame me for that!)

I cant seem to find details of the fuel consumption of these cars.

I've got the specification, but there's no mention of it.

Anyone know where I should look?

A friend at work had one, for a diesel they aren't hugely economical lol, and it was pretty slow as well. Looked meaty though.

Dont get a L200

What budget are you working to?

Seen a garage registered 06 Trojan with all the extras, with 24 miles on the clock for £18,000 incl VAT.

I'd like to spend less, so I'm looking at some 2nd hand Warriors this afternoon. They are around £10k incl. VAT.

L200's are pretty poor IMO

test drive the Isuzu Rodeo 3.0 and the Nissan Navara, both better choices.

You should probably find a mint Navara with all the extras for less than £18k

For example:

2005 NISSAN NAVARA 2.5 Sport SE,
7,500 miles, Manual, Blade Silver, Alloys, ABS, Air con/Climate Control, Immobiliser System, Air bags, 6 Disc CD player, Official Snug Top with roof bars, Navara Leather Seats (front and rear), Leather steering wheel, Load Liner, tubular side runners, chrome rear bumper. Nissan warranty. Immaculate condition, barely used, £14,500 (NO VAT) Please call 07779 253415. £14,500. ono

You should be able to find brand new ones for £15k as the new pathfinder based model has just been released.

Painfully slow, not really good economy, noisy, back seats are crap and bounce you all over the place, not really big inside for its size, poor equipment inside. Shall i continue. ;) :D

Ive had:

Navara
L200
Hilux

All recently, all brand new.

The navara was superior in almost every way... the only thing the l200 was better at was the ride, it was smoother.

However, the 2.5TD is weak, lacking both power and torque, the interior is pretty poor for a modern vehicle.. and they generally cost more than rivals. Off road it wasnt too bad, but the navara was better in that area too. And as said above, back seats are rubbish. Dashboard is from decades ago, not impressive IMO... not the the navara is that much better, but it is better.

Noise wise... they are all noisy, but the noise of the Navara was great IMO... meaty.

Where's the best place to look for a 2nd hand Warrior or Animal? I really like them :p

Looked at ebay and autotrader. Is there a specialist that deals in pick-ups maybe?
