Hi so its been a while since i have been on but i think its about time i need to do a bit of upgrading.

My current build =

Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case

Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply

ATI Radeon HD 6870

Current processor is a AMD phenom II x4 920 processor 2.8 GHz
With DDR2 6 GB ram

Having trouble running games like arma 3 etc at the moment so wondering what is the best path to take upgrade wise.

One thing for certain is i need a new case, this current 1 is starting to look majorly worse for ware and the ports on the front of the case are knackered.

Cheers for any advice

the 920 as a horrible cpu, and running DDR2 would mean you have a very old mother board.

how much are you wanting to spend?

it is very old :D has done alright up until a few recent game releases.

Price wise there isnt really a limit on it, the more expensive the longer i will have to wait/more over time i will have to do :P
Preferably it will be an overclocked bundle as i have not really kept up to date on overclocking etc so dont want to fanny about with it breaking anything

Expensive...but looks good

So my PSU would be adequate for the upgrades?

Another consideration i was looking at was a SSD for my operating system however the addition of that onto the list would make it a fair wee while to save up for everything :D.

In terms of upgrade order to get the most benefit in the quickest time would i be best going for

-processor bundle + case ( is a becoming a must right now)

and then graphics card

then SSD?

The motherboard comes with a cpu cooler so no need for a separate one, that comes to £356 which is like £40 saving over the bundle.

With nor needing a PSU so that's another £100 off the johnnyp spec, you can put some of the £140 towards a ssd

That before the case comes to £671, add the case you like(personal taste comes into play here).
