looking at upgrading in april

so got my shares payout coming in april and im also moving in to my own house so all my stuff will be used a bit more as my htpc/pc will be in the living room, currently using all the stuff in my sig.

main question is it worth updating the Q6600, its been a good stable cpu for the last 1/2 years but with the new sandys coming out is it worth the plunge in to i5/i7?

mainly use the pc for films/usual web browsing and a few times a week a bit of gaming(CSS,L4d/L4d2,Call Of Duty)

any thoughts?

Probably don't NEED to upgrade if you have OC'd the 6600. Whats the budget if I may?

Looking at the uses then I'd had to say its probably not worthwhile grading from a Q6600. Main thing woule be to upgrade your graphics card or pop in an SSD to make booting much more snappier. Worth overclocking you Q6600 if you haven't done so already.
