So the PSU is currently the oldest item I have in my build.

It's an old 'Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 600W '80 Plus Bronze'' Which i bought from OC back in 2012.

My system has changed a lot since then, i'm currently running.

Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3
AMD Ryzen 1600x
Team Group Vulcan T-force 2x8GB
ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1070 OC edition 8GB

Samsung 970 NVME 250GB
1 Sata DVD-RW
2 Sata HDD

I'm guessing what i have at the moment is adequate but probably not the best? Looking to future proof myself a little too.

Currently looking at the follow:

-EVGA Supernova 650 P2.

That Silent Pro that you have despite saying 600w only has 480w on the 12v rail so a modern, quality 550w psu is more than enough for your current build, maybe a 650w if you are looking at a AMD card or Nvidia 1080ti/2080ti in future.

My first choice would be the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold or Antec High Current Gamer Gold series. Fully modular, the 550w has 540w on the 12v rail, 650w has 648w on the 12v rail, gold rated and a 10 year warranty you can't really go wrong for the price. The Antec is built by Seasonic and is based on the Focus Plus Gold with a different case and minor internal components changes.

Yeah, I'd looked into my current PSU and realised this was the case. I feel like my current setup is not far of exceeding what I have.

I've read and heard that the Seasonic Focus has noise issues?

Any thoughts on the EVGA at all? Just it's on offer currently for £99, I know the 'Platinum' tag doesn't really make much of a difference, but...?

It's a very good psu. The reason I didn't consider it is because it is usually much more expensive than the ones I mentioned. It's built by Superflower and is basically a tweaked Leadex Platinum with a different fan. All of it's 650w is available on the 12v rail.

Thanks for your input and recommendations.

I looked at them all and realised it's normally £30/40 more than those you recommended, so made sense to grab it whilst it's on offer!

Dropped this in today. So far so good. I've left the eco-mode off. The noise from the fan at normal use is barely audible, so made sense to keep a constant flow of air there.
