Looking back at old benchmarks

I just happened to scroll through my saved 3D mark 2001 benches from 2001 to present day. My first ever recorded bench was with an Athlon 1200 and GTS2 (I thought this system was so fast that I would never need another upgrade!) and I scored 3300!
looking at todays latest bench 45K is easy to acheive with the fastest stock CPU and single GFX card (conroe Etreme & 1900XT).

How things change! :eek:

Heh - my first bench was on a P3-450 with a Voodoo3-2000 with 3DMark99 Max... then a Geforce 256DDR for 3DMark 2000... can't find any record of either tho - waaayyyy too far back in the past...

My first bench with 3d mark was with 99 with an amd k62-400 and a geforce 1 card that didn't work with my mobo so i had to take it back and swap it for a tnt2 pci.

My first was with a P3450 /TNT2 3DMark 2000 but the first recorded I have is with 2001.
The helicopter test still looks good in 3Dmark 2000 even now!

I didn't know what benchmarking was back then though :S
