Does anyone here remember The Disk Box in Chatham, part of the inn shops? or Software Plus in Gillingham?

What stores do you remember as a kid that sold games

J&M Software here where I live, used to hire out games for the Spectrum, Amstrad, C64.

Oh and £2 for behind the counter non budget copies. ;)

I remember standing in the EB in Carlisle looking up at the TV monitors showing a looped trailer for the original Command and Conquer on PC. I must have been there for ages watching it over and over again with my mouth wide open because one of the staff came over to see if I was alright.

EDIT:

I also remember spending ages in the games section of What Everyone Wants sifting through the Mega Drive games, cross-checking them with the summary review list pages torn from a Sega Power magazine looking for 5 star games! I got Corporation for £15 of birthday money once. It was utter, utter *****. Never been so disappointed in a game. Did get some awesome deals there though - Kid Chameleon and Jungle Strike to name but a few!
