Hi all,

I'm looking for an upgrade for my current 2ms 24" Asus, I'm after a bigger size and 27" is about all I can fit on my current set up. It needs to have a 2ms or better response time for gaming and 2 HDMI ports for both pc and Xbox.

Had a look around but couldn't find anything matching this, have I been looking in the wrong places or does such a thing not exist?

Could you use a HDMI switcher so that you only need 1 HDMI port on the monitor? Does the PC only have a HDMI output or do you need HDMI for the sound? Otherwise you do restrict your options quite a lot.

When I looked I could only find 2 but the 120Hz one is currently out of stock:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Acer HN274Hbmiiid 27" TRUE 120Hz 3D Widescreen LED Monitor with NVIDIA 3D Vision Glasses £319.99
1 x Asus VE278H 27" Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor - Black £239.99
Total : £574.98 (includes shipping : £12.50).

A splitter could be an option but I've already gone down from 2 monitors to 1 due to space as my new rig has to go on the desk and takes up a lot of space. Space is a big issue due to having 2 large monitor speakers too. Hence my need for an additional HDMI input.

Was looking at this: http://www.benq.com/product/monitor/xl2720z/

Although I don't think it's out yet and it's probably going to be an overpriced gimmick.

I did miss one when I looked :p

1 x Asus VS278Q 1MS Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £239.99
Total : £251.99 (includes shipping : £10.00).

In the name it says 1ms but in the description it says 5ms in one place and 1ms in the other. I think it is 1ms but it is probably best to check.

But if you do use a splitter, they can be quite small. I don't think OCUK have any for sale though so I wouldn't be able to link any. The one I have is quite sensitive and can cause the signal to be lost for a second if it is touched. But I do have a really cheap one. :p

You could probably put it behind the monitor if there is space.

Personally I wouldn't pay more if it was just because it had an extra HDMI slot.

Those are some good options, I guess I didn't look properly! I'm slightly more inclined to go for the monitor route, as having just spent over 3500 on a new rig, another 200-300 on a monitor isn't a big deal.

The only issues I have with using a splitter besides the one mentioned is not only does it use another power socket (currently have 3 full extension blocks) I'm assuming a decent splitter will need external power. But also the output from the xbox is already coming through a 2 way powered splitter to spilt the signal between monitor and main TV

But thank you for finding these, it's good to know there are some monitors out there that will suit my needs. I will have to have a think which is the best of the 3.

It could mean 1ms GTG (grey to grey) and 5ms ISO (black > white).... Most gaming monitors advertise the GTG response time to make it look better. If i went back to using a TN panel then it would need to be at least 120Hz to make it worthwhile.
