Looking for £500-ish monitor for a mate..

A mate is upgrading his PC and wants to upgrade his monitor at the same time. He's coming from a 1080p one that is a fair few years old. His new PC is going to have a 3070 in it so it packs a bit of grunt. I thought a 1440p would be the way to go especially as his budget is £500-ish and he wants a 32" screen. He's in the US so won't be buying from OCUK. Any recommendations?

High refresh rate 32" 2560x1440 models are rare and expensive with IPS panels with first models released quite recently.
Asus PG329Q is one.
And then there's Acer XB323UGPbmiiphzx

VA selection is bigger, but aren't with latest panels and are mostly curved.
And for advantage of VA's way highest contrast and best black of LCDs have the slow dark transition response time challenges.
Though if he prefers darkened room, IPS really isn't an option.

Yeah I think his budget is £150 short for what he wants. Sent him this, probably makes him have a more realistic view.
