I am currently looking for two 27" or one 32" IPS monitor(s) for use with my laptop. My laptop is an AMD Ryzen 7 processor 5800H and has NVidia RTX 3060 with 144hz refresh rate. My distance from screen will be 75 cms. I currently doesn't play any games but may do that in future. I prefer to have speakers on the monitor(s).

I was looking at 4K, but most of them have only 60hz refresh rate. Any thing with higher refresh rates are very highly priced. Shall I go for a WQHD 27" monitor with high refresh rate?

Would it be advisable to buy a single 32" monitor and use several desktops on it for various tasks rather than buying two 27" monitors?

Which brands are best - Samsung / LG / Philips /???

I live in ROI. Any help highly appreciated.

What video out for you have on your laptop? HDMI or Displayport? HDMI 2.0 is limited to refresh so double check with that.

work out what screen size/ppi is best, don't get 4K just because, as pushing those resolutions for games means you need high end gaming laptop

It has HDMI, USB C Thunderbolt. I am connecting it to a HP hub with 2 HDMI and 1 displayport.

So are you suggesting that a 27" WQHD is better for my laptop rather than a 4K considering the h/w specs - AMD Ryzen 7 processor 5800H and has NVidia RTX 3060 6GB with 144hz refresh rate.

I don't see any reason to go 4k, especially if you're looking to play games. Even a desktop 3060 will struggle at 4k to get even 60fps at very low settings in most games, never mind a laptop version.

So do you think a 27" WQHD is better than a 32" 4K? What about if I dont play games - just for work from home, watching movies, reels etc?

Also would it be advisable to buy a single 32" monitor and use several desktops (I use Windows 11) on it for various tasks rather than buying two 27" monitors?
