I would say the best brands are LG, Panasonic and Samsung, in that order.

I've had a Panasonic 46" LED for the last 10 years and it has been very good, apart from the remote wearing out.

When i was looking at 32" there was little choice for half decent TVs. I dunno if 43" has taken to the same fate. But the Q60B was the best available in 32", though i never did buy it. Have you checked rtings?
Though realistically for general use as long as the speakers are okay(?) then it's probably an okay buy. I was going to use my hifi to connect anyway. If serious gaming then i'd think about other options such as a monitor as well.
