Looking for a 50"+ Plasma/LCD Screen

I 've had a Panasonic 50" Plasma for close to 3 years and I've been very happy with it, but I feel it's time for an upgrade as it lacks HDMI etc.

My first instinct is to get the Panasonic TH-50PZ700CAB however having recently bought a 37" LCD for my game consoles I'm a little tempted to try and find large LCD screen.

In the past the Large LCD screens wasn't as good as plasma, can anyone recommend a VERY good LCD screen of 50" or more (but max approx 60") or a Plasma sceen that maybe better than the Panasonic one.

Take a look at the new pioneer 8th gen plasma's..(meant to be about one the best screens you can buy now)

The pioneer 8th gen 720p 42" & 50" plasma's are out now,,,
The pioneer 8th gen 1080p 50" plasma is due for release in a few months time...

I'm buying a 50 incher in the next few months and through all the research I've done I'm still led to believe that if you're gonna be watching more SD material (like most people do) than HD then plasma is the way to go.
