Looking for a 980ti or 1070, any suggestions?

Hi guys, looking to buy a used gpu, but prices on ebay are way overpriced, so looking for alternatives. Any suggestions or even any for sale?

You don't have MM access where sales are done on here. Mid range cards are silly prices still due to everyone and their dog jumping on the crypto bandwagon.

Buy an infrared camera and a crowbar, then start wandering the streets at 3am. One careful burglary and you'll have either enough video cards to last a lifetime or enough cannabis to stop you caring about video cards altogether.

The 980Ti is still a great card and not far of a 1070 at all.

If you can get an EVGA used for a reasonable price then I would get that.

1070's are still too highly priced due to miners.

Just found a Gigabyte 980Ti Windforce (GV-N98TG1 GAMING-6GD this model). Just talked to the seller and we agreed on 275, next day delivery, signed and tracked. Slightly more expensive than I hoped, but this mining craze will keep rising the prices so I thought its a good deal.

tbh especially if you experiment with the 980 Ti it'll end up faster than an overclocked 1070.... granted uses quite a bit more power, but the Ti is no slouch!

Yes! The 980ti is still a very valid card and I wouldn't go spending money on a 1070. Unfortunately I don't think that prices are about to come down, so I would be tempted to wait a bit until the next generation of GPU's come out. Either that or keep saving for a 1080ti.

Yes is a pretty good deal. Gigabyte has good warranty too should you have any issues (have a rep on this forum).

That model of card if i remember rightly was a good one too. Cool, quiet and overclocks well.

Should be for the most part just as quick as a 1070. 1070's at the moment are just silly money so a good choice for sure.

maybe buy an overpriced gtx1070 and mine on it to make up the difference
