Hi all. Looking for an ATX 3.0 power supply to replace my BeQuiet Straight Power 11 1200w.

Running a 4090, 7600x (though will be upgrading next year), 3 nvmes, 3 Sata ssds and 12 D30 RGB fans.

Primarily noise is the most important factor. My whole system is silent. Also I would need at at least 6 sata connectors (however many wires that would take, in my current unit its two). Also the longer the 12 volt cable is the better 600mm is ok but would prefer longer.

Any recommendations? Budget is £200-250. At least 1000w.

You have a 4090 so if you want to be able to deal power spikes the new 12 pin connector which communicates to the psu and deliver more power you need an ATX 3.0 psu.

Yeah that's it. I think from brief research the Seasonic Vertex1200w will be the one I need.

Quiet operation (same as current one), long 12 pin wire and lots of Sata cables.

Thank you for the info. The Corsair wouldn't work in my case, also I've heard it dosnt have a 12 pin connector, despite been gen 3?

Thermaltake is louder than my current or seasonic one. Must admit don't know anything about the Coolmaster one. I'll look at that now.

I ordered the Seasonic 1200w one for £250 delivered which is a pretty good price. Selling my old one for about 100-140 its a cheap upgrade :)

Just a heads up don't overbend the the cable where the 12 pin connector goes into the GPU as this is where the connector can fail/melt .

Google it if not already aware.

Enjoy.

I actually cancelled it while I look into the coolmaster one lol. There seems to be literally nothing about it on the web. It sounds good on there marketing page though! I'll look into it and make a decision. Thank you!

It also looked like the PSU was from Spain (website operates in UK). I saw the foreign plug and also if that would complicate the warranty etc. UK price is generally around the £300 mark.

So I got the 1200w Seasonic Vortex for £249 delivered.

I reached out to Seasonic and they confirmed the 10 year warranty will be honoured even if I'm UK based, and the plug will work with an English plug no issues. So all in all a great deal, considering how much this normally goes for.
