Looking for a bike - £250 max (excl p&p).

I've done a little research and this seems like good value for money :-

What are you going to use it for?

Just for keeping fit (5 ish miles a day) and short rides to the shop etc. Mostly riding on concrete with a little offroad.

You'd probably be better looking second-hand at that price.

The one you've linked is probably the best spec for the price, but that spec is nothing compared to what you could get second-hand.

I'd prefer to get something new to be honest.

I'm always a bit sceptical about buying second hand. I like having new things, takes away the worry of getting ripped off by hidden problems and dodgy sellers, covered by warranty and so on and so forth. Having said that, I bought a used mountain bike for £200 yesterday which is far higher spec than I could have afforded new. It's in beautiful condition, shifts better than my road bike and runs perfectly. I'm so glad I decided to buy it over a low-end new bike that would inevitably cause me more problems in the long run. Basically, don't dismiss buying second hand so quickly, everything becomes used eventually and you might as well be riding a good used bike as opposed to a crap used bike.

e: In saying all that, when I was looking at bikes in a similar price range I'd narrowed it down to the Rockrider you're looking at or the Felt Six90.

I like the look of the felt six 90, looks like their only 16.5 and 19 available. I think I might be ok for the 16.5 because I'm 5ft 7.
