Looking for a bike...

£300 max.

Front suspension is a must.

I don't particularly want/need rear suspension.

Disc brakes would be nice.



I've been having a bit of a look around and found the following:

^^They look OK, but like I said, I don't really need FS. I'm sure they'd be pretty heavy too.



Any recommendations?

The main reason for buying it is to take on holiday in a couple of weeks, but I'll still be using it when I come back.

I just want something to generally crash around on.

I'd need something that can take a beating as I'm pretty good at buckling wheels.

Why go for that over the Avalanche 3 (£20 more, but has discs)?

Not saying I shouldn't, I'd just like to know why you recommend it.
