Hi guys,

like the subject above, i'm looking for a book (doesnt have to a single one but would be nice to have it all in 1 place) that teaches HTML, CSS and other nice design stuff (colour schemes, design, etc).

as a java web developer, I already know html and the basics of css but wanted to have a resource so i can make some really nice front end stuff.

can someone recommend me a book or some sort of online resource.

thanks!

thanks Eye seven,

i've had a look at "The CSS Anthology" on the webs and it seems very much recommended. so i might just go with that.

as long as they arent introductions and dont "dance" around concepts i'll be happy with it

W3Schools - for HTML/XHTML and CSS stuff.

HTMLDog - HTML and CSS stuff. There is also an HTML Dog book. ISBN: 0321311396.

Hi MarcLister,

thanks for the links, ive used w3schools quite abit in the past for javascript and sql and they were great.

I spent some time in borders today and couldnt find any decent books. the only one that really struck out though was HTML Mastery.

thanks

Websites aren't always better - it really depends on how best you learn. I prefer books myself, videos when i'm feeling lazy. I spend too long on websites as it is without having to refer to them all the time!

yep same here. for some reason i have problems reading off web pages and prefer books.

but its quite rare though to find full coverage of a number of subjects in a single book
