Hi guys,

I'm currently looking for a Canon 70-200 f2.8. The cashback offer of £80 makes buying UK stock more tempting, and the cheapest I can find is around £940 before the cashback. Can any of you recommend some places that may offer it cheaper?

Alternatively, can any of you point me in the right direction of some well priced used models...

Cheers,

Jed.

Yeah I got a 70-200 f4 IS from Kerso a few years back and I was able to get cash back

Amazon had both the IS and non-IS versions in their lightning deals earlier in the week, to late now though.

It is easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission ;)

This :D

I briefly owned a 2.8 non IS and it was razor sharp, sharpest lens I've ever owned , just a shame the rest of the lens was a state or I would have kept it

Yeah, I had the non-IS in my basket a couple of times but had to let it go. Deeply regretting it now. My financial dashboard wasn't up to date so I didn't know exactly where we were and if we could afford it. I took 6 months off last year with my wife when baby number 2 came along. Picked up a decent contract in October, lasting until at least the end of March. Now I've updated my dashboard it's looking quite healthy, debts paid off at last :)

What's the cheapest IS version around?

Hmmm.... 70-200 MkII IS from ******* with bank transfer is £1245. That is seriously tempting...

Will you get Warranty on the lens? If not then there is no difference from buying used... In which case head over to TP if you aren't already on there and bag yourself a 70-200 as they are up regularly.
