I'm in the process of building my second computer and need a case to put it all in...

I currently have a black case with side window and a fan placed in the middle of the window. Problem is its outrageously noisy and i've come to the conclusion that the side window with a mass of blue LED fans makes it a nightmare to have on at night.

My needs are thus:

A Black Case that is very Quiet! (Quietness is probably most important requirement)
No more than £100, preferably less.
Side window optional but not with LED fans.
Two USB Ports that are either on the top or the front of the case
Edit: No PSU is needed
Would prefer a case that is not totally plain, but not overly fussed.

In it will be going an ASUS P5B Deluxe, Intel e6600, 2Gig of Geil PC6400 and the Asus 7900GT Top. I have two Zalman Ultra Quiet 8cm fans that can be reused in any case.

Anything that keeps it cold and quiet is worthy of a look. I do like the thermal take shark with the mesh on the side to aid airflow but again the blue lights may make it unsuitable unless anyone knows that they aren't particularly bright.

Thanks in advance, if you need any more info please ask

The PC components are what make the noise, a Delta fan is noisey in whatever case you put it in.

For a case that is very quiet indeed an Akasa Eclipse 62 and a pair of 120mm Acoustifan Dustproofs at 5v will be almost completely inaudible.

Trouble is if your graphics card, PSU and processor / motherboard are making a lot of noise then the new case will make exactly the same amount as before.

What coolers do you have on everything, specifically the fans?

When I silenced my PC, I changed the GPU and CPU coolers and the PSU for quiet models. I'm still using the supplied case fans (Lian-Li PC7), but from 7v. It is still audable, but not very noticeable. Worth changing to Akasa amber fans? The PC7 is suprisingly quiet, in that when you remove the side panel, it becomes much louder.

I think the reason this case is so noisy is the fact i have about 6 proper fans.

1x 12cm in PSU
1x12cm at rear (very noisy)
2x8cm at front (silent zalmans)
1x8cm on the side (standard came with case, not noisy, not silent)
1 standard on cpu (AMD XP)
1 standard on gfx card

my hdd is a barracuda and is also very quiet

I know the case i have now is cheap and noisy in general. due to poor build quality

I am getting an artic cooling freezer 7 for my e6600 and keeping my current PSU that is quiet. i am leaning towards getting the Asus EN7900gt Top, though i am open to suggestions on a better graphics card for 200£ ? thanks again
