a few weeks or months back i was reading a guide what said what was causing certin conditions when overclocking.

something like:

if the pc fails to POST x needs more volts.
if windows fails to load then its because of x.

i.e. which components needed more volts when a certain thing happened.


i thihk it was either here on on xtremesystems, but i'm not having much look finding it, i'm suprised i didnt book mark it.

anyone come accross it before?
 
Put simply m8 if your pc either fails to post or fails to boot it could be down to almost anything. It is impossible to say that memory or cpu vdimm/vcore is the determining factor tbh.
 
aye i tend to agree :D
this guide gets more specific for example referring to blue screen messages, and file errors were referring to the south bridge not being able to keep up and stuff like that.
i found what i was looking for earlier, it looks like i printed off the info when i first came accross it :)
