Hi guys,

I've been using a copy of Adobe Audition that may or may not be legit ... ahem.

I'm looking for a cheaper (ideally free) replacement so that I can mix a number of audio tracks together and then cut them up back into individual tracks, so that when I burn them to a CD I get the seamless mixing of my songs but can skip forward and backward to individual songs. Adobe Audition allows this, but if I buy it I'll be paying top dollar for things that I'll never look at.

The software needs to be able to use FLAC. Are there any suitable alternatives?

The Pro seems to be comparable to Audition, but it's £200. The cheaper version is a nice £30, but I don't think it can handle more than 2 channels at a time ...
