Hi there,

I'm at Uni and I currently have 2 desktop PC's at home. I travel to uni and back and I'm looking to buy a laptop as I seem to need one while im on the go for my work and it would be useful at home too I guess.

Just saw the NC-10, it looks good for the price, is this the best bet?

Playing Football Manager on it would be a plus too :P!

I'm in a similar position. Have about 3 desktops, one super gaming rig and a HTPC. The main (and gaming) pc comes to and from uni in my parents van-mobile thing, but i've had my eyes on a netbook to take to uni through the day, since it seems useful.

The problem I have is the price of these. The NC-10 does look awesome but it's £300, and for this sort of money you're almost in full-sized laptop territory, which usually have a lot more power. I know size is important but it seems silly to me spending that much on them.

I see the eeePC 901 much closer to £200 in places, seems like a more sensible bet, but I think I might try getting my hands on a second hand, maybe 'unwanted gift' after christmas and save myself a few notes.

Just my two cents.
