right foilks current spec is


2160 @ 2.84 ghz
4 gig mixed ram
X1900 XTX
1.5 gigs of various hard drives
corcsair 650w psu
Gigabyte P35 DS3R

all running Windows 7 x64


ideally want to spend around 400 for a bit more grunt.

was thinking about a quad core and some more ram 8gig
but i'm open to all sorts of suggestions.

my gpu is fine for me atm as i dont play any graphic intensive games. but do work with photoshop and play Fm2010

IIRC Gigabyte + OCZ isn't the best mix in the world, quite a few problems with them apparently...
 
I thought gigabyte and ocz problem was a thing of the past.....

if not

use the Asus M4A79T Deluxe AMD 790FX = £130 also
 
I think it would be good,But what do you need 8gb ram for? Unless you do some serious cs4 and fm2010 as good as it is plays on my 1gb netbook so no need for 8gb ;)
As for your upgrade i would go for a Phenom II 965,Asus crosshair and some 4gb OCZ platinum...
