Looking for a comfy padded computer chair

I currently have an IKEA Allak chair like this:

I really like this chair but I have had it for years now and really need a replacement. I have been to IKEA but don't like anything they have at the moment. Tried the Markus chair that everyone recommends but found it too firm and uncomfortable. It also sat quite high which I don't like.

I have also tried a Herman Miller Aeron in John Lewis and similarly found it too firm.

What I would really like is a chair with thick padding on both the back and bottom. Any recommendations?

How did you find the Herman miller chair too firm? Its literally made from an elastic type material

Try 2nd hnd on eBay for some well priced office chairs

The Aeron is really nice, I tried one recently too, think I will buy a refurbed one.
