I just don't like flight yokes, even the high end ones. They make my arms hurt and I can't be precise with them. (Also I think they are ergonomically designed to be between a pilot's legs, not on a desk but that may be just me).

I am looking for a consumer version of http://www.ultimarc.com/ultrastik_info.html.

That would work much better for me for arcade-y racers and flight sims.

Does anyone know of a consumer joystick like this? (an ANALOG high precision ball-on-a-stick-type joystick, preferably with a nice heavy base.)
 
I personally recently got a hori hayabusa stick from awuk for my SFxT madcatz arcade stick and modified an octo restrictor gate for it and it feels amazingly good :)

You may also want into a sanwa jlf stick and a circular restrictor gate if you want full analog and don't want to have to modify the restrictor gate to fir it
