Looking for a decent headset

recently purchased a headset, absolutely terrible, cant wear it for longer than 20 minutes or so as it starts to hurt my ears.

looking for a headset with the preferred qualities:

-needs to be comfortable, (i game for long periods of time quite often so comfort is definitely an important factor)
-good quality microphone
-decent sound quality, maybe surround sound but not that important really, although it would make it more immersive having surround sound.
-price range nothing more than about £80, if possible

Would you consider a headphone / mic combo?

Check out the reviews for both the Creative Aurvana Live! headphones and something like the Speedlink SPES clip-on mic.

It will be far superior sound wise, and they are super comfy.
