Looking for a decent Midi Tower high end case, what do you think?

Hi All,

I am looking for a nice high-end PC case for a new PC build, but I am trying to avoid something that is big and heavy. I made that mistake on my last PC, lesson learned, so I am looking at the midi tower cases this time around. Cooling will be air flow with AIO being used on the CPU. I don’t mind spending on a case, so cost isn’t really a factor for me if it is a good case. I tend to like my cases with decent front I/O panels (which I noticed tends to only be a option on full tower PCs sadly). I am either going to go for a RTX 5080, or a 5090 GPU (assuming availability doesn’t end up being an issue).

I am leaning towards getting a be quiet! Shadow Base 800 DX Black | OcUK. I liked the visuals, and it seems like a nice case based on some of the reviews I seen. My second choice I am hesitant on due to its age ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 Midi-Tower Case - Black Tempered Glass, but both seems well made and would fit under my desk easily. Does anyone have any thoughts on either of those 2 cases, or any reasons why either of those should be avoided? Or perhaps have a recommendation that is much better than the two case I listed above?

Thanks in advance for any advise.

I keep plugging it, because it is such a great case, the Phanteks Eclipse P600S.

I have one in Gunmetal gray, and is the best case I've ever owned or worked on.

Can take any size AIO and GPU you care to name, superb for air cooling, and quiet with it.

More room for HDD's and SSD's than any other case its size, tell me if I'm wrong.

Unless there's a quantum leap in case design, this will be the last case I own.
