Hey there! Been looking at double beds, and it seems Argos is the best retailer at the moment, im on a tight budget so the cheaper the better!

This looks good to me, but im worried about there being no headboard?

http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/s...001&langId=-1&catalogId=4501&productId=222805

Paying extra for the comfort mattress, because i have one on my single and its comfortable.. What you guys think? Any other options for me?

It can be wood, if so beach, or metal or both. Just asking what else is available before i buy.

Thanks, Carl.

I likewise am also looking for a double bed

So if any ladies have a double bed with space in it for me, let me know

Having all but destroyed a mattress in about 6 years (and the bed underneath isn't exactly healthy either), I've switched to Silentnight in the hope that their spring system resists any urges I may have to break the bed. :)

LOL thats quality mate :D

Try get a silentnight matress, they are brilliant

Buy a decent quality bed second hand, and then just pop down to dreams and get a lovely new mattress for it. Job done.

Cheap furniture = rubbish. Either buy proper stuff or buy proper stuff second hand.

Ikea every time :)
The SO and I recently splashed out in the sale and bought one of these. (It's a double cabin bed ;)) - the only one that would fit in student rooms! Silly I know, but 18 months falling off single beds gets old!

Super expensive right? But worth it (or so i've been told).

I love my double bed, the frame was handmade by me and my dad. The mattress is famous in my circle of friends for being so comfy (IKEA's finest)

Arh nice thread. I was looking for a nice double bed a few days ago.

I'd like one of those split double beds as I like my sleep and the mrs moves about a bit, however the 1k price tag is a bit much.

I've heard that those silent night mattresses aren't much good.

I've a nice memory foam mattress, very comfy but hard to get out of (you kind of sink into it).
My son has an Ikea bed, and it's really good value and seems surprisingly sturdy and comfortable.

Ive always had expensive beds in the past, slientnight etc but 3 years ago I got one from Argos, went for the best quality matress they do, cost £220 all in.

Its been the best bed ive had, very very comfortable, which has been commented on a few times ;)
