I am looking for a list of dual cores with scores like passmark showing all the dual core CPU's and only the dual cores

I can't find any that you can filter by # of cores, but if you a looking for the fastest, then an Intel Core i3 2120 will destroy any other dual core on the market.

i3 clarkdale

If your into overclocking then an i3 clarkdale should be good for 4.5ghz although clock for clock its slower than the sandybridge i3's.

I would wait a few months as intel are meant to be releasing a "k" version of i3 sandybridge based on the 2120 - it is rumoured to be priced around £100.

If you are on a tight budget the Athlon II 250 is hard to beat - 3ghz stock most overclock to 3.7 all for £43

Out of interest why do you only want dual core??

Its because I am gonna run a mine-craft server off my 10mbit upload :P and as it only uses 1 core I'll assign 1 core to the game and the rest to the linux OS making a quad core pretty redundant.

Really? Have you got any links at all?

If it is true, then it will be more than £100 as the current 2120 costs £99.98, unless they lower their prices on the non-'K'.

Wolfdale

The 3ghz 775 Wolfdale Chips take some beating in terms of dual core performance and they overclock to 4ghz on air.

You could probably pick up a 775 board and chip cheap second hand.
