Looking for a game.

Im looking for a game which would be a hybrid of AoE, civilization and the total war games. I just got empire earth because people said its civilization with aoe elements but no its just a replica of aoe with added tech trees.

Just want a game where i can go for global domination which combat takes stratergy but i also want to be building as like on age of empires. There is probably no such game out there but wondering if anyone here has any recommendations.

hehe i just got Hearts of iron 2 and 3. had a quick go on 3 and found myself bewildered as to what the hell i was doing and the tutorial gave me as much information as a blackwall! hoping number 2 will be abit more simple or at least explain things more simple for my little brain.
