Hey mates,
I'm currently looking for a good gaming keyboard that won't break the bank. I was hoping I could find something that has bumps on the important keys especially the v, and ctrl buttons as I fumble around to find those the most. To remedy the problem temporarily, I used small pieces of double sided tape on the v, ctrl so I can at least feel my way around. I got tired of not hitting the v quick enough in cod5. :D Nothing worse than accidently crouching down when being stabbed by a nazi.

Any keyboards that allow you to feel your way around?

do they still do those keyboards that are made for certain games also i think the key sections can be changed i might be wrong but i read it somewhere

hmmm just a suggestion but maybe try changing the controls and changing melee attack to a key you can find? as for a keyboard that highlights v i'm not so sure. What i've done for cod5 is put grenade and melee on my mouse, easy to find then.

I don't mind the location of the buttons for the most part, mainly because it seems all games use the same buttons for same things. It's really just that v and ctrl button that get me the most.

I have thought about that, I will probably give that a try although I'm still using a $7 Wal-mart keyboard and could do for a new gaming one.

ahhhh with that being the case buy yourself a nice backlit keyboard finding the right key might be easier that way too. You have a budget for this keyboard? I currently use a logitech g11 which i find great however i hear the saitek keyboards are also very good.

just realised that you're in the us, is that £100 or $100?

regardless of this that is still a fair amount of money, perhaps a g15 or a saitek eclipse/cyborg? these sort of things are down to personal preference, so pick to what you like the look of and what will fit if you have a colour scheme etc.

Don't have any suggestions apart from those already posted for keyboards, but in the meantime, try using middle mouse button for melee... works a treat for me (in COD4).

The g15 is excellent. The ctrl key shouldnt really be an issue as its in the corner (there is a gap between it and the g keys). As stated before try reassigning the v key to something on the mouse for stab.
