I'm about to start building a gaming pc, so basically i need an led monitor, no more than 24 inches that has good colour accuracy for editing videos, and lag/blur/motion/ghosting-free experience for gaming. Ideally one that is 120hz, and not 60hz for a smoother experience with no screen tearing.

Even a higher end model second hand, if it meant getting a better screen.

What you want doesn't exist, so I'd revisit expectations; never even mind for that price. Focus on either editing videos or gaming.

It appears i'm somewhat naive when it comes to this sort of thing, heh..

After asking on another forum, think i'll up the budget a bit and go for the Dell Ultrasharp U2515H. Solid for editing, colour accuracy and pre-calibrated, but also a very good gaming monitor.

I'll be gaming a lot on my Panasonic G20 anyway, and think that does upto 100Hz? So good for playing FPS on higher settings. :)

Sorry to say, but your Panasonic is probably 100Hz only on output (motion interpolation, etc.), meaning that you're limited to 60Hz on input. Unless you've already overclocked your TV...?

Ah thought it was higher. Funnily enough it was marketed as '600Hz' but what they don't tell you is that is the sub-field frequency and not the refresh rate.

Ooh never knew you could overclock your tv! How very exciting. Will need to look into that.
