I'm after peoples opinions on Viking Films they have seen, and any they would recommend as a must see or a good watch.

A couple of films off the top of my head are The Vikings (1958), Pathfinder (2007) and Outlander (2008), but of course there are more than that...

I know they can't be compared to each other as some are historically accurate whilst other invole Aliens and events that may have/haven't happened.

Valhalla Rising is getting some fairly mixed reviews, but looks like a down and dirty realistic take on Vikings. I think its started in the UK last week, probably Arthouse cinemas.

13th Warrior is about the only viking film i can think of at the moment that you haven't already seen, though its probably the best.

Another vote for 13th Warrior. The story is just daft but curiously the film is extremely watchable. Beowulf is also worth a watch.

And what's with that Valhalla Rising? It is probably way out of context but why would Viking be going off to Jerusalem... I am not saying they never went but I don't ever recall them being involved with the Crusades. Also, why does it have the Terminator music?
