Hi.

I'm not really clued up when it comes to laptops.

Anyway, I've not really got a huge budget, between 300 and 500 quid, my main PC can play games fine, but I'm looking for a laptop in this price range that preferably comes with Windows 7, not a must though, has a good amount of memory, decent HDD space and can play games such as UT2004, TDU, TF2, LFD and maybe could get away with games like UT3 aswell.

I am maybe thinking of looking at Dell Outlet as I understand you can sometimes get a good deal on refurbished laptops but would this be a bad idea?

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Will.

Bear in mind that you'll have to pay around £30 extra on shipping, then add VAT to that price if you go to the Dell outlet

I'd look around places that do refurbished laptops, but their prices are inclusive, if you google "refurbished laptops" there should be a fair few that pop up

Yup, its annoying being told you can get a Dell 1545 with 2ghz Intel dual core/4gb/250gb hd/win7 for 300 delivered, its actually nearer 370 with vat and del:(

Well I got an Acer Aspire 7735G for £443, it seems good for the price, 350GB HDD, 2.16GHz T6500, 17.3" screen, 4GB ram with an ATi HD4570 GPU which should be able to play say UT3 at 1024x768 and maybe TDU, pretty happy with the buy, can't wait to get it although I can't find info on the web, the lappy ain't on the Acer sites apart from in driver downloads.

I did not read enough into it, but lots of people where suffering from random shutdown issues but a bios update fixed that.
