Looking for a Laptop in the £500 Range

I want to get my misses a surprise Xmas present... a laptop in the £500 range.

Any suggestions, have to keep the costs down.. i get MARRIED on monday.

I just want to get it ordered

Used for Music / Browsing / Word Processing and some image editing nothing else really.

Help much appreciated as im running out of time :) :)
 
You can get an Advent 7105PA in dashing pink from a well known high street vendor. Girls like pink, right? :P

Edit: Personally, avoid Packard Bell. They're a total pain in the arse if anything goes wrong with them. I should know, I work for the PB support team for COMPETITOR ;)

I wouldnt touch them anyway.

I contemplated the Advent. But i have not been able to track down any info on it or ADVENT themselves... so it makes me worry a little to be honest

Seems a pretty good spec for the cash though... and as you say its in pink! She wanted the ASUS leather jobby... but at £1700 ish... a little out of my price range

maybe i should sell a kidney?
 
Philips x56 a 12" laptop ultra portable very light laptop. you might be able to get it for around £550 with discounts/vouchers
