Looking for a main Monitor

Lo guys,
atm im using a 22" 2233BW @ 1680x1050 for my pc
Now since iv recently gotta apprenticeships im able to gains ome money and wanna get a nice big monitor. Ive been mainly looking into a 28inch...as in the only 28 inch on OCuk the Hanns 28inch, ive seen some reviews online saying that its not a quality product some places but then a good product in some and i rly need some peoples opinions and if possible recommend me maybe a 26inch, id like to go to 1920x1200 res but i really want a bigger monitor. gonna use the 22" as secondary.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, also im buying the new monitor in bout 2-3 months mainly coz of the 5870

p.s. i dont wanna spend over 300...however i may spend 310

Theres a thread on the Hanns 28" and people seam very happy to use this as a games monitor, a friend has also decided to buy this monitor for his PS3/360 set up once payday comes. however for computer use im not entirely sure.

Thanks mb iv had a good read of that thread and im very impressed, so probs a month or 2 after my 5870 il be grabbin that 1, thanks <3

Seems i'm in a similar situation to you SfnX i fancy an upgrade from my two 20" monitors, so was looking at 26" plus. I'd love to know what you end with as i've been looking at that hanns G and sammy 26" screens also the 27" dell (i believe a new one is on its way however). I just can't make my mind up plus they all seem to be TN panels and according to the forums TN is the one to avoid if it can be helped.

if only there wasn't such a fiasco with that LG monitor.

Im gonna go with the 28 inch hanns.g i know its a bit big for what i need (gaming and general use) but its at such a great price and looks gr8, should do fine with my 22 inch 2233bw. just gotta buy a new desk now
