after being a die hard FPS fan for years i descovered world of warcraft which totaly changed the way i play online games i havent touched CS:s or ut2004 for months now

now im up to a point i want to try another mmorpg

so what would you's recomend i dont mind the monthly fee's but would like to pay in advance or even free i want something thats easy to get into has a decent story with PvP options

DAOC has probably the best realised PvP combat system, lots of large scale battles and castle sieges.

Eve is just amazing. Takes a while to see past the mining and courier missions to realise what it really has to offer mind you. Don't get put off by the early game.

and theres a handy 10 day free trial to get you hooked, just like drug dealers hanging around school offering cheap deals to all the kids. ;)

I was (and still am) in the same situtation. Played WoW for a year and loved it but eventually wanted to move to another mmo(rpg). I've now tried all the following: Guild Wars, Eve Online, Anarchy Online, Dark Ages of Camelot and RF Online Beta and guess what? Didn't like any of them! :(
As far as I'm concerned nothing comes close to WoW.
