Are you running a single graphics card or SLI. If it's only a single card, then a good 550W unit is what you should be looking at:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/xfx-...old-fully-modular-power-supply-ca-026-xf.html

Both are Seasonic units and have better quality internals than the Bitfenix PSU you were looking at. The EVGA is a very compact unit and will be a good choice for a m-ATX system where space is at a premium.

Although it's out of stock here, the GS 550W is available elsewhere. There's also the GS 650W, which is also compact:

The cables aren't the prettiest, but the PSUs themselves are very good.

The silverstone isn't a bad unit and is compact, but the EVGA and XFX both have better internals. Make sure it's the GS model, as that's the most compact.

Go for Borealis recommendation of the EVGA GS as it's a much better unti than the FSP built Bitfenix Fury. With the Fury you get a mediocre psu because all the money has gone into the cables. If I remember right you have a max psu length of 160mm with the Prodigy but it gets rather cramped once you go over 150mm. The EVGA is 150mm long so fit's nicely.

The XFX is 170mm long so is too big.

Yup, should have scrolled further down the product page before suggesting the XFX.

Thanks for the clarification on the OEM for the Bitfenix unit. For reference, I think the OEM for the strider 550W is Enhance if this review is anything to go by.

Cheers Pastymuncher and Borealis.

For what I need to power, the EVGA is looking perfect. Set the email update for when they come back in stock... Might plump for the replacement cablemodders cables as well

Edit: just noticed that nowhere does a kit for the gs series...
