Cpu: intel core i5-3330 3.00ghz
hard drive: Sandisk Extreme PRO 960GB
motherboard: Gigabyte H61M-DS2-DVI (only sata 3gb port transfer rate)
power supply 650w
memory: 8gb ram (8GB DDR3 1333 Spectek Select DIMM 240pin PC3-10600 CL9.0 - ST102464BA1339.16FDD)

I wish to upgrade my motherboard but got limited choices as I only want to replace the motherboard can you guys recommend any that also supports all the components that I have and also be able to support newer version of cpu?

I need the same motherboard size for Gigabyte H61M-DS2-DVI due to case unless the motherboard provide with the interface where you can attach at the back panel.

Any help will be great thank you for reading.

Your cpu is Ivybridge which is the last type supported for Socket 1155, so you have very little scope to upgrade though your I-5 isstill very good. You could upgrade your motherboard to a H77 or Z77 chipset if you want sata 6 gb and USb3

Why do you want to replace the motherboard? You can't overclock your cpu and a motherboard change will not give you any more performance.

I wouldn't upgrade the mb just for sata3

theres no real world speed difference tbh from sata2 to sata3 unless your moving huge files

if you plan to upgrade the cpu aswell then go for it otherwise I would stay as you are for the time being

By all means get the SSD, just don't change motherboards for the sake of something that you will only notice in benchmarks. A SSD will be a nice performance boost even at sata 2 speeds.

***Edit*** Welcome to the forums by the way. :)

Got the item today and installed it, My BIOS is picking it up and my device mangers but its not showing up on My Computer.
And thank you :P
