Hi,
I have a logitech mx518 but i am looking for a gaming grade wireless version of it
I think the mouse is fantastic but my new desk makes the wires hanging off the back of the keyboard tray an issue

I have a mx1000 too but it is not as comfortable, neither was a Razor DeathAdder (i thought it was horrible)

i doubt there is any equivalent wireless version that has the 2 buttons, same scroll wheel etc.

Stick with the MX518 and get a mouse bungee or wrap your wires out of the way somehow

I suppose you therefore want a Logitech. Apart from the now EOL G7, your limited to the Wired Mice they do. Personally, I couldnt live without my G5, but as an upgrade to the mx518, its probubly not worth it

I used to have an MX510, which is basically just an MX518, but slightly lower res or something.
I went out and bought the Logitech MX620 to replace it. Clicky. It's not branded as a gaming-grade mouse, but is more than up to the job. Button layout is very similar to the MX510: They kept the forward/back buttons but did away with the scrolly-buttons (which were pretty useless anyway).
The only downside to it is it takes AA batteries as opposed to a battery-pack like the G5. However, I've had this 2 months now and haven't had to replace them. The Logitech software reckons around a years battery life from one set of AA's, which is pretty sweet, although I suspect its less than that if you use it a lot.

I dont mind about the button layout at all,
i just dont like the shape of the MX1000 and their newer range which spawned from it
The 518 is lower profile so fits in my hand far more comfortably
The razor deathadder was ok but the front buttons hurt my fingers after a while.

Thanks for all the help so far i have been trawling around for ages looking for a replacement
