Looking for a multi-monitor graphics card

Some years ago I built some workstations that supported three monitors off a single graphics card.
I can't remember what graphics cards I used and they are probably no longer available anyhow, they used the AGP and VGA standards.

Can anyone suggest a suitable, reasonably priced graphics card for the same purpose again please?
Ideally with DVI and VGA connectors and using a PCI connector.

This is required to support geological survey analysis and definitely NOT required for gaming but it should support high resolution screens.

I'm kind of assuming you mean PCI Express connector and not PCI connector (they are different), and not sure what resolution you are meaning by high resolution screens, but https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-geforce-gt-710-silent-low-profile-2048mb-gddr3-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-316-ms.html should work for you, it has a VGA, DVI & HDMI out. I believe it should support up to 3 monitors at once, and you'll need an HDMI to DVI or VGA adapter to adapt from the HDMI port, but should work as a basic display output. You can probably pick one similar for less money on an auction site I would imagine as they aren't really worth the price, but if you just need outputs then that is about as basic as you can get these days, new anyway.

Thanks for that, I do indeed mean PCI Express :o

I have found what I think would work - PNY NVIDIA Pascal QUADRO P400 with 3 mini DisplayPort 1.4 Connectors.

I am not sure how I would use the three mini DisplayPorts but adapters are available to interface them to DVI.

As it happens I think that a resolution of 4096x2160 @ 60Hz is probably more than would ever be needed!

In 2010 I used to use 2x Radeon 5870s in Crossfiire and if I remember correctly a single 1 of those cards could run up to 6 monitors lol it was crazy

Its not really good for proper gaming now tho but to power some screens it should be more than fine and super cheap

Bear in mind DisplayPort can only be passively converted to DVI-D. That's the digital, not the analog version. Same for SVGA - that's analog so you won't get it out of a DisplayPort.

HDMI is also digital-only so it's worth assessing what your monitor can accommodate. Any modern card typically has 4 video outputs - maybe worth confirming on budget cards. The Quadro you've mentioned might support more outputs with a splitter but that would likely cost a bit.
