I've just ordered the GeiL 2gb DDR2 800mhz memory on this weeks offer, and the Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R.

I'm going to try get my E2160 up to a minamum of 3ghz ready for crysis demo :p

I'm looking for a decent cooler that will keep my temps right down. If i remember correct, when i had the cpu at 2.8 the temps were 65+ on the stock cooler.

Would be happy spending around £20.

Cheers.:)

I've got that chip, m/b, and cooler combo. I'm quite impressed with it, however I havn't clocked my chip (yet!:)).

At stock speeds I'm getting idle temps of around 31 / 33 degc and loads of around 45/52.

One thing I will say about the Artic Cooler 7 is that it is a close fit on the N/B heatsink on the DS3R.

I've got mine clocked at 2.5, TAT says the idle temp is 40/42, around 60 under load with Orthos!

So we have nearly the same PC then! What graphics card do you have, and what res do you play?

Would be good to keep in contact to compare results :)

Yeah I'm thinking about doing alittle O/C on mine ( will be the first time I've ever attempted it before). I'm running an X1950PRO and usually game in 1280x1024.

Small blob in the middle should do, or as others do a thin line down the centre.

You should be able to get a decent HSF as needmorstuff has said for that price in the MM.
