So, I've played mmo's pretty solidly for the last 8 years or so, Runescape for a good 3 years, and WoW for the last 5, but I've grown bored of WoW recently and I'm looking for a new venture. I love mmo's because of the sense of progression and character development that you can't get in another type of game; gear to show off, titles for people to envy, achievements to boast about. You can't get that anywhere else. Anyway, is there anything new/on the horizon that might be up my street? Thanks.

RaiderZ is a bloody amazing MMO, give that a try, it's fully f2p and has a combat very similar to Dark Souls but in a more spectacle fighter fashion and less blow-for-blow, if that makes sense. Lots of rolling/dodging and combo making, no pre-animated under-the-hud nonsense like WoW, it's a more visceral but more basic version of Guild Wars 2.

The bosses you fight though, constantly going against gigantic creatures, it's crazy. :D

Could sign up for the Firefall beta. I had a blast playing it before I started on Mass Effect again about a month back. I think it's open beta now...

Gonna have a play around with RaiderZ, looks quite good. Silk300, have you played GW2? Did it live up to the hype? Only thing is, I'm more into the PvE side of things, so I'm a little hesitant of GW2.

Neverwinter Nights MMO will be out quite soon. It will be F2P but you can purchase some sort of starter pack to get beta access. not played it myself but it looks quite good.

Guild Wars 2 is the only game which currently fits your requirements and hasn't been out too long, beta etc won't as you need character progression and I'm assuming you don't want to lose that between development phases.

RaiderZ is great mate, especially for f2p, the combat feels so meaty and like you're actually ****ing **** up, unlike every other MMO. You'll fight your first boss about 45 minutes in, so much fun. :D

Played RaiderZ a little today; It's actually a lot of fun. I'm really not that far into it, but so far so good, although it doesn't seem to have the 'addictive-ness' that I'm craving. Is there anything anyone can recommend, anything at all, that I just won't be able to put down for hours and hours?
