hi all after recent computer issues and me thinking it was a card fault id got the idea of upgrading.
Im looking to repalce my GTX 460 after 2 years its not cutting it with the new releases as well as id like, im not quiet sure which cards are getting the best prerfomance these days, iv always prefered the Nvida cards i dont know why.

anyways im looking at the GTX 660 ti card atm but id like to get some ideas of other cards which might provide better preformance to price ratio, im not playin any specific games as such as i know some makes preform better with some games so im open to both Nvida and AMD. im looking at a price range of about £200-250

sorry i should have said

Corsair TXM 650W Modular PSU
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 Socket AM3
AMD FX-4 4170 Black Edition 4 Core 4.2GHz
12g of DDR3 ram
Casecom KM-6988 Black Mid Tower Case

the case is also old and getting a bit cramped and it will be the thing i upgrade in the near future as well

Cheers for the suggestion, is there much differnce between the two cards? i ask this as i can pick up the 660 for only about £10 more. and in fact could any one tell me if theres any differnce between the manafactures these days?

A fair bit, and even more so now with AMD's 12.11 drivers, though we musn't forget that Nvidia will be optimizing their drivers as well.

The 7950 competes with the 670, and the 660ti with the 7870.

Manufacturers that have decent customer service / faster rma turn around are : Gigabyte, EVGA, KFA2 and MSI (maybe Zotac?).
