My trusty old HPW2207 has never been the same since i took it apart to remove a couple of storm flys from behind the screen. I pinched a connection on the screen during the process and now it it only starts if i wait around 15 minutes or take the front off and jiggle the connection. Anyway I really like the glossy screen and was wondering if anyone could recommend a similar monitor. My budget is £200.

Hanns.G favours the matte screen surface at the moment. Be careful when reading 'glossy' on product pages as it usually refers to the bezel and not the screen - that is certainly true in this case. The only monitor with a glossy screen I can think of within your budget is the HP x2301 which does happen to be a decent little monitor and would probably be similar to (a little better actually) your HP W2207.

Yep the Hp screen does look pretty nice. I like the thin screen. I believe john lewis in bluewater stock hp monitors, was going to bluewater with the wife, so i think a diversion is in order. Mind you the 27 inch hans g looks tempting as well, is it defo glossy?

No - as above it's matte. :)

Have ordered the HPX2301 monitor. Have used this forum for help before and have been amazed at the knowledge and helpfulness of its users. keep up the good work.

Yeah it's a great resource! :)

If you wouldn't mind posting some thoughts on your x2301 when you get it that would be great too.

Monitor arrived today. Can not believe the speed it arrived, sorry not from overclockers. Nice monitor no bleed around the edges. really light weight and I love having the connections on the base, makes it so much easier to connect up. Had a go of secret world and the picture looks so much better than my old HP one. Have made a rather rubbish youtube review. Never done one before and perhaps I should have made a script before I started, fancied having a play of movie maker anyway. heres my **** review ( not very technical im afraid).
